Judith Herschel currently serves as County Commissioner for Susquehanna, a position held since January 2020. Judith is also a Board Member of the Pennsylvania Advisory Council on Rural Affairs, appointed by Governor Tom Wolf, and has been the President of the Board of Directors at NEPA Community Health Care since 2018. Additionally, Judith serves on the Board of the Area Agency on Aging for the Counties of Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Tioga, and holds the position of Board Treasurer for the Lackawanna-Susquehanna Counties BHIDEI Program. Judith's political experience includes a grassroots congressional campaign for PA-12 in 2017-2018. Prior to these roles, Judith worked as the Park Project Coordinator for Susquehanna Boro and spent over a decade in various capacities in mental health and social services, including Clinical Supervisor and Lead Counselor at Trehab Treatment Department and positions in customer relations and social work. Judith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and holds a CADC certification from the PA Certification Board.
