Ajai Joseph Pulianmackal

Ajai Joseph Pulianmackal is a Scientist at Artemys Foods. Ajai has also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (DBT-inStem) and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram.

Pulianmackal’s work focuses on how a wound is detected by skin, which can then lead to the wound healing response. Ajai has studied this in intact mouse skin and also in primary skin cells differentiated to various stages of differentiation.

Pulianmackal has also researched the role of HSP90 in plant development. Ajai has created and standardized protocols for recognizing HSP90 clienteles in Arabidopsis and their role in plant development with Dr. Kalika Prasad.

Ajai Joseph Pulianmackal has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science - MS in biolo from IISER Thiruvananthapuram.
