Before joining WAN-IFRA, Demptos worked at the European Commission and the Embassy of France in Malaysia, where they gained experience in press services and events organization. Gilles Demptos began their education in 1990 at the Université de Bordeaux, where they pursued a degree in Law. Gilles completed their undergraduate studies in Law at this institution in 1993.
