Scott Hairston

Scott Hairston has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Scott started their career as a Senior Commercial Underwriter at CNA Insurance in 1988, where they reviewed and evaluated commercial business insurance. Scott then joined Travelers Insurance in 1994, initially working as a Select Accounts Executive and later becoming a Select Manager/Marketing Rep, managing a commercial lines branch office and overseeing various departments. Hairston worked as a Business Development Manager at Commercial Associates Insurance Agency from April 1999 to December 1999, where they developed and managed programs to enhance agency production. Scott then moved on to Marsh in 2001, working as a Client Manager, where they marketed and placed commercial lines new business and renewal accounts. Hairston joined Kraus-Anderson Construction Company in 2002 as a Marketing Specialist for Kraus Anderson Insurance Agency, focusing on marketing and placing commercial lines new business and renewal accounts for contractors and general businesses. In 2005, they joined CNA Insurance again, this time as a Field Sales Specialist, managing an agency plant and driving new business growth. Hairston joined Continental Western Group in 2008 as a Territory Sales Representative, where they managed a commercial agency/brokerage plant and successfully implemented underwriting strategies, wrote new business, and achieved high agency sales calls and renewal retention. Scott then held various roles at Associated Benefits and Risk Consulting from 2013 to 2017, including Vice President and Vice President Property & Casualty Practice Group Leader. Hairston recently worked at AssuredPartners and AssuredPartners of Minnesota as a Director of Operations, overseeing operations and marketing.

Scott Hairston attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.
