John Scalzo has extensive work experience in the field of Radio Frequency Engineering. John is currently employed as a Senior Radio Frequency Engineer at Astrobotic since January 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at the Small Business Innovation Research Consortium from February 2022.
Before transitioning to the private sector, John worked at Louisiana State University for over two decades, starting in August 1999. During their time there, they served as a Senior Instructor and undergraduate advisor, contributing to the education and guidance of students until their departure in July 2020.
John began their career at Qorvo, Inc. in August 1993, where they worked as an RF Engineer Project Manager until April 1995.

In addition to their formal education, John obtained the Amateur Radio Extra Class certification with the call sign W5VPI from AARL in April 2018.
