Ellendhren Govender

Ellendhren Govender has extensive experience in finance and management roles. Ellendhren is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the same position at Kynoch from August 2021 to March 2023.

Between January 2018 and February 2021, Ellendhren was the Chief Financial Officer at Sasol Energy, where they managed the Finance and Information Management functions. Ellendhren successfully reduced debtor collection days during their tenure.

From August 2016 to December 2017, Ellendhren served as the Chief Financial Officer at Sasolburg Operations, where they managed the Finance and Information Management functions. Ellendhren effectively managed cash fixed costs within budget levels.

Ellendhren's work experience also includes a role as a Senior Manager Finance Reporting at Sasol Energy from September 2014 to July 2016. In this position, they led financial reporting for multiple entities and managed a team of 18 people.

Ellendhren Govender has a diverse education history. In 1989, they obtained a Matric Exemption from Earlington Secondary. From 1990 to 2003, Ellendhren studied Marketing and Business Administration at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, earning a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree. In 2007, they pursued an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours Bcompt) at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. During the same year, Ellendhren also obtained a Chartered Accountant qualification from SAICA. Additionally, they completed a program in Leadership in Oil and Energy at the University of the Witwatersrand. In terms of certifications, Ellendhren obtained certifications in "PowerPoint: Eight Easy Ways to Make Your Presentation Stand Out" and "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in 2022.
