Alan Boardman

Director Of Life Sciences at ATC Automation

Alan Boardman has extensive work experience in the field of packaging and automation systems. Alan is currently employed as the Director of Life Sciences at ATC Automation since March 2022. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at MULTIVAC USA as the US Medical Packaging Automation Systems. Between 2014 and 2020, Alan held various roles at BD, including WW Associate Director of Packaging and Packaging Engineering/Cost & Process Improvement Manager. Alan also served as the Process/Packaging Development Manager at BD Medical during the same period. Additionally, they have worked as an Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University from 2015 to 2019 and as an Assistant Professor from 2011 to 2014. Alan has also worked as a Consultant at AQC from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Engineering and Operations at Maxtec, Inc. from 2007 to 2011. Alan has also served as an Industrial Advisory Board Member at Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2011. Alan began their career as a Principle Packaging Engineer/R&D at W.L. Gore & Associates in 2005.

Alan Boardman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University from 1989 to 1996. Alan further pursued their education at the same university, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from 1996 to 1997. Alan then went on to attend the University of Utah from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a PhD in Material Science Engineering.
