Donald MacKenzie

Donald Mackenzie has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Donald is currently serving as the SVP CMC and Technical Operations at Athira Pharma since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at GSK, including VP Global Head Chemical Development from 2018 to 2022, VP Global Head Drug Product Design and Formulation Development from 2013 to 2018, VP Global Head 2nd Generation CMC Development from 2010 to 2013, Director of Product Development from 2007 to 2010, Technical Director from 2003 to 2007, and Director of Product Development from 2000 to 2003. Throughout their career, Donald has demonstrated expertise in developing and launching pharmaceutical assets, supporting different portfolios, and driving the implementation of new technologies.

Donald Mackenzie earned a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, where they studied from 1984 to 1991.
