Gillian Harvey

Gillian Harvey has extensive work experience in the field of compliance and risk management. Gillian is currently employed at Athora as the Group Senior Compliance Manager and Deputy Group Head of Compliance. Prior to this role, they held the position of Group Compliance Manager and Deputy Group Head of Compliance at Athora. Before joining Athora, they worked as the Head of Compliance at AmTrust Europe Limited. Gillian also served as the Compliance and Complaints Manager at HDI Global Specialty SE. Gillian Harvey has previously worked at CFC as the Compliance & Conduct Risk Manager and as the Conduct Risk Manager. Gillian has also worked at Chubb as the European Compliance Project Manager, and at AEGON Direct Marketing Services Europe Ltd as an Executive. Early in their career, they gained experience at Lloyds Banking Group as a Subject Matter Expert and as a PPI Case Handler and Deputy Team Leader. Gillian started their professional journey at the Financial Ombudsman Service, where they held various roles including Adjudicator, Supervisor, and Head of Customer Service.

Gillian Harvey has a diverse education history. In 2006, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Legal Science and English from the National University of Ireland, Galway. This was followed by a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the same institution in 2010, with a focus on Law. In 2011 and 2012, Gillian pursued further education at Queen Margaret University, earning a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. In 2015, they obtained a PRINCE 2 certification from The Knowledge Academy. Most recently, in 2017, Gillian received a Certificate in Conduct Risk from The International Compliance Association.
