Job Description 📜

As a Junior Financial Analyst at Athyna, you will be an integral part of our Finance team, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Finance. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing financial data, managing payroll for both internal team members and external talent, and preparing insightful reports to support key business decisions.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes.
  • Analyze financial data and create reports to identify trends and patterns that can be used to improve business performance.
  • Onboard our clients and talents into different platforms.
  • Process payroll for internal team members and external talents.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and prepare related reports.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from team members and the Customer Success team when it comes to our external talents.
  • Assist with both AR and AP processes.
  • Proactively identify and recommend opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide support to senior analysts and management as needed.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and project work as required.

The Successful Applicant 🙋🏻

  • English at a near-native level (oral and written).
  • 12 months experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
  • Working knowledge of financial strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, or Google Sheets and other financial software.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment; you’ll have guidance when you need it, but you’re also goal oriented and can execute independently.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to collaborate and assist whenever, wherever needed.
