Soo Khim CHAN, a skilled scientist specializing in assay development, has extensive experience in developing multiplexed isothermal detection assays for infectious diseases. Prior to their current position at Atila Biosystems, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California San Diego, focusing on using virus-like particles for various applications including COVID-19 positive controls and peptide isolation for plant viruses. Their Ph.D. research at Universiti Sains Malaysia involved isolating mutant enzymes with improved properties and fabricating point-of-care diagnostics for diseases like dengue.
