Patrise Perkins-Hooker began their work experience in 1994 as the President and Founder of Patrise Perkins-Hooker & Associates, PC. Patrise then transitioned to Hollowell, Foster & Gepp, PC in 2004, where they served as the Head of the Commercial Real Estate Group until 2009. In 2009, they joined Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) as the Vice President and General Counsel. Their most recent role was with the State Bar of Georgia where they served as the President-Elect in 2013.

Patrise Perkins-Hooker obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1980. Patrise then went on to pursue an MBA with a focus on Accounting at Emory University's Goizueta Business School from 1980 to 1984.
