Sonia Parandekar

Sonia Parandekar is the current head of engineering for commerce at Atlassian. Previously, they were the vice president of engineering at Urban Ladder, and before that, they were a senior engineering manager at Groupon. Parandekar began their career as a software design engineer at Microsoft Bing, where they were responsible for several social widgets on MSN's network home and channel pages. Sonia later went on to work as a research assistant at the University of Washington, where they designed and developed a system for data-driven feature-based model selection using a genetic algorithm.

Sonia Parandekar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from the College of Engineering, and a Master of Science in Speech Processing technology from the University of Washington.
