Abigail Tyree

Research Associate Scientist at AtlasXomics

Abigail Tyree has worked in various roles since 2017. In 2017 and 2018, they were a Museum Assistant at Thinkery, where they facilitated exploration of science concepts through museum exhibits and activities, and created and taught STEAM curriculum for ages 1-13. From 2019 to 2021, they were a University of Texas Summer Research Fellow, where they conducted independent research in the Sarah Simmons Cell Signaling Lab. Abigail also worked as a UT Austin Coordinator and Stop the Bleed Instructor at Dell Medical School, and a Freshman Research Initiative Peer Mentor at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2021, they were a Teacher at IDEA Lab Kids, where they taught STEM classes across several different age groups throughout the city of Austin and adapted lesson plans to effectively communicate various STEM concepts to children. Currently, they are a Research Associate Scientist at AtlasXomics Inc.

Abigail Tyree is currently studying Neuroscience, Evolutionary and Functional Anatomy at The University of Texas at Austin, where they are working towards a Bachelor's of Science and Art. Abigail began their studies in 2018 and is expected to graduate in 2021.
