Cécile Duvanel began their career in 1994 as a Research Assistant at Nestle S.A. In 2000, they became a Post-graduate teaching assistant at Université de Lausanne - UNIL. In 2002, they were a Medical fellowship at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois. In 2004, they became a Clinical Project Manager at D-TARGET. In 2008, they joined Hôpital Riviera as a Medical Consultant - Osteoporosis and Attending Physician. In 2006, they founded Augurix Diagnostics, where they served as Chief Scientific Officer.

Cécile Duvanel completed their MD at the University of Lausanne - UNIL from 1991 to 1998. Cécile then undertook a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from 1997 to 1999, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from 1998 to 1999. Finally, they completed an MD-PhD in Immunology from 1998 to 2002.
