Tim Spitters

Tim Spitters has had a diverse work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Scientist at Avant Meats. Prior to this, they were a Research Assistant Professor at ShanghaiTech University from 2018-2021. From 2014-2018, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sherbrooke. In 2014, they also completed an internship in product development at Screvo BV. From 2009-2014, they were a PhD-student at the University of Twente. In 2008, they completed an internship at the Orthopaedic department of the University of Canterbury/Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Medicine. From 2001-2007, they were a student at Wageningen University and completed a Bachelor thesis at the Microbiology department. In 2007, they completed a Master thesis at the Tissue Regeneration department at the University of Twente.

Tim Spitters attended Dr Mollercollege from 1994 to 2001 and then went on to pursue an MSc in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research from 2001 to 2009.
