Dragos Constantin has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dragos is currently the Head of Data Products & Engineering at SOPHiA GENETICS, where they are responsible for leading the development of data products and engineering teams.
Before joining SOPHiA GENETICS, Dragos was a Senior Product Manager - Analytics & AI at SpotMe. In this role, they successfully brought a video conferencing initiative from prototype to mature product. Dragos also worked on analytics processing for product usage and quality monitoring. However, they decided to leave SpotMe due to a mismatch in their career goals.
Prior to SpotMe, Dragos worked at Nexthink, where they held multiple roles. As an Engineering Director, AI and Analytics, they were responsible for expanding and implementing the AI strategy while managing feature teams and hiring high-performing engineers and managers. As a Product Manager, AI and Analytics, Dragos migrated Nexthink's on-premise products to Cloud Analytics with AI-enabled features. Dragos also established a data and AI strategy for the company and collaborated with other product managers and teams to deliver valuable features.
Before Nexthink, Dragos co-founded Gamaya and served as the CTO. Gamaya is an award-winning company that offers hyperspectral solutions for precision farming. In this role, they oversaw planning and execution across software, hardware, and data science divisions, emphasizing agile frameworks and result-oriented management.
Earlier in their career, Dragos gained experience as an Engineering Intern at Schlumberger and as a Research Intern at Philips.

Dragos Constantin obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Information Technology from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon in the years 2006-2012. Following this, they pursued further studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Vision from 2010 to 2012. Dragos Constantin continued their academic journey by pursuing a PhD at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in the field of Computer Science and Remote Sensing, which they completed from 2012 to 2017.
