Zack Hoffman

Zack Hoffman has a diverse work experience in the cybersecurity field. Zack is currently employed at Avertium as a Senior Cyber Fusion Manager since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Cyber Fusion Center Manager at the same company from November 2021 to January 2023. Before joining Avertium, Zack worked at Secureworks for several years in various managerial roles. Zack was a Security Analyst Manager II from August 2021 to November 2021. From February 2020 to August 2021, they held the position of Security Analysis Manager, where they provided leadership and mentorship to a team of technical and non-technical personnel. From June 2018 to February 2020, Zack served as a SOC Shift Manager, overseeing a team of 20 individuals across multiple locations. Zack began their career at Secureworks as a Security Center Ops Sr. Analyst from February 2016 to June 2018 and started as a Security Services Team Specialist from June 2014 to February 2016. Zack's work experience also includes an internship as a Desktop Support Intern at Classified Ventures from June 2013 to May 2014, where they troubleshooted and provided support for printers, desktops, and laptops.

Zack Hoffman obtained a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Lewis University in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Networking Technologies with a concentration in Security from DePaul University in 2014. Zack's education journey began at Plainfield North Highschool, where they completed their high school education between 2006 and 2010. Along with their academic degrees, Zack also holds several certifications, including eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester (eJPT) from eLearnSecurity in 2017, Splunk Certified User from Splunk in 2016, and Qualys Certified Specialist from Qualys in 2015. Additionally, they obtained certifications in CompTIA Linux (Powered by LPI), LPIC-1 from Linux Professional Institute, Novell Certified Linux Administrator (CLA) from Novell, GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner from GIAC Certifications in 2018, and GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) from GIAC Certifications in 2017. Their earliest certification is CompTIA Security+ obtained in 2014 from CompTIA.
