Yolanda Becker

Advisor at avoMD

Yolanda Becker has been working as an advisor at avoMD since June 2018. Prior to that, they served as the president of UNOS from July 2017 to June 2018. From 2012 to 2013, Becker was the Education Committee Chair for the American Society of Transplant. Yolanda also worked as the Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Surgery at the University of Chicago from 2010 to 2021. Becker began their career as the Clinical Curriculum Director at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999.

Yolanda Becker attended Slidell High School before going on to Tulane University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Yolanda then attended The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD). After completing their Surgery Residency at Vanderbilt University, they went on to complete a Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
