EcoCAR EV Challenge
Rohan Mhetar is a computer science and mathematics student at The University of Texas at Austin, set to graduate in 2025. Rohan has held various software engineering roles, including an internship at ZipRecruiter focused on a Learning to Rank Model. As a Software Development Manager at Meals on Wheels America, Rohan led the development of a mobile app for volunteer coordination, integrating a Flask-based backend with Salesforce CRM. During an internship at Amazon, Rohan significantly improved audio processing efficiency through a caching system and developed a logging and monitoring system. Previous experiences include developing fraud detection analytics at State Street, conducting sentiment analysis of hurricane stages at the Computational Media Lab, creating deep learning models at Michigan State University, and designing applications for COVID-19 risk assessment at NASA. Rohan has also earned a certificate in applied statistics and a minor in business administration.
