Justin Deuerling

Justin Deuerling, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the fields of research and development, specifically in the biomedical industry. Justin began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame in 2005. After completing their graduate studies, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the same institution. In 2011, they joined RTI Surgical®, where they held roles as an Engineer II in Sports Medicine R&D, a Senior Engineer in Product Development, and a Staff Engineer in New Product Development. In 2019, they transitioned to Axogen, where they started as a Staff Engineer in Research and Development. Justin then progressed to roles as a Senior Manager in New Product Development, a Director in Discovery and Exploration, and currently holds the position of Senior Director in Research and Development.

Justin Deuerling, Ph.D. earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2004. Justin later pursued further studies at the University of Notre Dame and successfully obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2010.
