Thomson Fungwa has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Thomson currently holds the position of Chief Commercial Officer at aYo Holdings since 2020. Before that, they worked as the Country Head of Sales at Atlas Mara Zambia from 2019 to 2020.

Prior to their role at Atlas Mara Zambia, Thomson served as the Senior Manager - Consumer Sales at MTN Zambia from 2017 to 2019. At Focus Ironclad Group, they worked as the Head of Sales & Distribution from 2014 to 2015. Furthermore, they served as the General Manager at Roland Imperial Tobacco Company Limited J/V Partnership with JTI from 2006 to 2009.

Before these roles, Thomson had a long tenure at MTN Zambia, where they held positions such as National Consumer Sales Manager and Regional Consumer Sales Manager from 2009 to 2014.

Thomson started their career at British American Tobacco, where they worked as a Demand Planning & Project Manager and later as a Regional Sales Manager from 2001 to 2006.

Thomson began their professional journey at ROTHMANS OF PALL MALL (OVERSEAS) LIMITED as an Area Sales Manager from 1998 to 2001. During their tenure, they implemented effective sales management processes and achieved significant sales growth.
