Sofia Alves has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sofia started their career at GMS Consulting, where they worked as a Business Analyst, Consultant, and Senior Consultant for various telecommunications operators in Portugal. In these roles, they planned and implemented projects related to budget integration, process framework, and the creation of a shared service center.

In 2009, Sofia joined BA GLASS, where they held several positions, including Controller & Process Improvement Manager, Responsible for Glass Decoration Department, and Export Sales Manager. Sofia was responsible for analyzing operation and business KPIs, supporting the Executive Board in deviation analysis and process improvement. Sofia also managed client relationships in Europe, developed market offers, and ensured the integration of procedures and systems for acquired companies.
