Sara Morini is a highly experienced postdoctoral researcher with a focus on the large-scale expansion of stem/stromal cells for biomedical applications. Currently employed at Banc de Sang i Teixits, Sara specializes in the cultivation of umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stromal cells for extracellular vesicles production under GMP conditions. Previous positions include postdoctoral research at Instituto Superior Técnico, where Sara managed projects involving microcarrier-based cultures in collaboration with ThermoFisher Scientific and Carroucell, and extensive work as a PhD student handling the expansion and characterization of various cell types.
