Weihua Xia

Weihua Xia is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in application security and information technology. Currently serving as a Senior Security Specialist at the Bank for International Settlements since June 2019, Weihua Xia focuses on establishing and enhancing an application security program. Prior experience includes a role as an Information Security Specialist at SGX, where responsibilities involved guiding security practices in the software development lifecycle, and a position at Citi as part of the Application Vulnerability Assessment team, conducting global vulnerability assessments. Weihua Xia began a career as a Software Security Architect at Gemalto and started as a Java developer, with foundational experience gained through an internship at Oracle. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Information Security from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
