Amila Silva

Vice President, Solutions Architect at Bank of Singapore

Amila Silva has a diverse work experience, focusing mainly on technology and software engineering roles. They started their career as a Trainee Software Engineer at hSenid Mobile Solutions before progressing to Senior Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Project Lead. Following their time at hSenid, they worked as a Senior Consultant at the Defence Science and Technology Agency and later joined NextLabs as a Principal Software Engineer. At NextLabs, their responsibilities included studying enterprise systems, designing and developing solutions, and collaborating with product management. After that, Amila joined Julius Baer as a Solutions Architect, before being promoted to Associate Director and Lead Solutions Architect. Their current role is Vice President and Solutions Architect at Bank of Singapore, where they continue to apply their expertise in technology and architecture. In addition to their corporate experience, Amila has also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the South Asian Institute of Technology and Management.

Amila Silva holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Colombo, which was obtained from 2006 to 2009. They also earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Technology and Management from Keele University from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, Amila Silva obtained several certifications, including CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from The Linux Foundation in September 2020, TOGAF 9 Certified from The Open Group in 2018, and Oracle Certified Java Programmer from Oracle in 2009, among others.
