Teemu Ruikka

Teemu Ruikka has extensive work experience in the legal field. Teemu is currently serving as the Group General Counsel and VP Legal at Basware since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Legal at Basware from April 2021 to June 2022. Teemu also held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Basware Oyj from December 2017 to April 2021, providing legal support to Basware operations in Europe and the US. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Basware, Inc. from March 2020 to June 2020. Earlier in their career, Teemu worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Nets Oy from January 2012 to November 2017, focusing on legal support for sales of payment solutions. Teemu also worked as a Corporate Counsel at Foster Wheeler Energia Oy from August 2010 to January 2012, where they provided legal support for project deliveries. Before that, they worked as a Lawyer at Castrén & Snellman Attorneys Ltd. from September 2002 to August 2010, specializing in intellectual property rights, marketing law, and commercial agreements. Teemu also gained experience as a Visiting Lawyer at Luottokunta in 2010 and as a Trainee Judge at the Helsinki District Court from July 2005 to July 2006.

Teemu Ruikka obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Helsinki between 1997 and 2003. Additionally, in 2001, they attended Erasmus University Rotterdam for a law-related field of study. Teemu also attended Etu-Töölön Lukio, but no specific dates or degree were provided for this education.
