Gian Carlo Araujo

Gian Carlo Araujo has extensive experience in the banking industry. Gian Carlo began their career at Scotiabank Peru as a Dealer of Fx, where they handled currency exchange operations for various types of clients and provided support to dealers. Gian Carlo then joined BBVA Continental, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Analyst - Tesoreria and Vice President Global Sales. In these positions, they managed operations related to currency exchange, interest rates, and structured derivatives. Gian Carlo also distributed treasury derivative products based on portfolio analysis and identified new business opportunities. Currently, Gian Carlo works at BBVA as Jefe de Mesa Distribución Empresas - Global Markets, leading a team responsible for providing financial derivative solutions to corporate clients. Gian Carlo collaborates with business development units to implement new products and leads promotional strategies for treasury products.

Gian Carlo Araujo pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics at the Universidad de Lima from 2001 to 2007. In 2013, they completed a Market Development Program at Campus BBVA - IEB, focusing on finance. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Financial Management - MBA at the Escuela de Dirección de la Universidad de Piura from 2021 to 2023.
