Iris Resendez has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Iris started their career in 2003 as a Business Immigration Legal Assistant at DeMott, McChesney, Curtright and Armendariz, L.L.P. Iris then moved on to work at Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of San Antonio in 2007, where they held different roles including Case Manager, Assistant Director of State Programs, Board of Immigration Appeals Accredited Representative, and Director of the Anti-Trafficking Program. From 2013 onwards, Iris joined BCFS Health & Human Services and took on roles such as Regional Director, Assistant Program Director, National Partnerships Manager, Partnerships Director, Director of Coordinated Anti-Trafficking and Strategy, and currently serves as the Task Force Coordinator for the STOP Human Trafficking Task Force.
Iris Resendez completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communications and Ethnic Studies at Bowling Green State University from 1999 to 2003. Iris then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2006 to 2008, specializing in Public Administration.
