Marlo Derry has over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, working with various well-known brands. Currently, they are the Director of Compliance at Beacon Specialized Living. Marlo also has a skincare business and is an Executive Consultant for Rodan & Fields. In the past, Marlo has worked as a Binogii Placement Specialist at Sault Tribe Binogii Placement Agency, a Caseworker at Sault Tribe Of Chippewa Indian, and a Cosmetologist at A Cut Above the Rest Salon and Spa. Marlo has also had roles as a Student Intern at Marquette Behavioral Health, a Foster Care Assistant at Family Independence Agency, and a Direct Care Worker at Summer Set Home. Marlo Derry has a diverse education history. In 1992, they obtained a Cosmetologist, Owner certification from the State of Michigan LARA after completing their License of Cosmetology at St. Mary's School of Cosmetology in 1991. They then pursued an Associate's degree in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling from Lake Superior State University from 1997 to 1999. Subsequently, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Work from the same university from 2011 to 2014. Marlo also pursued various certifications related to hair color and design, including a certificate in Color, Cut, and Design from Paul Mitchell The School Las Vegas in 2009, a certificate in Color and Design from Redken Exchange in 2008, and a certificate in the Chemistry of hair color from Keune Academy in 2015.
