Dr. Verena Benz has a diverse work experience in various healthcare and research settings. Dr. Verena started their career as a Praktikantin at Boehringer Ingelheim in 2006 and then worked as a Diplomandin at Deutsches Institut für Ernährungsforschung Potsdam-Rehbrücke from 2008 to 2009. Dr. Verena further pursued their career as a PHD Student and later as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Charité from 2010 to 2014.
In 2014, Dr. Benz joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Medical Science Liaison, first focusing on Immunoscience and then on Cardiovascular research. Dr. Verena contributed to the company until 2018.
Since 2019, Dr. Benz has been working at the Berlin Institute of Health in der Charité. Dr. Verena initially served as a Project Manager PROs/PROMIS at the Clinical Study Center until 2021 and is currently working there as a Medical Advisor. Additionally, they hold the position of Head of Match&Connect - International Startup Partnerships since November 2022.
