Thomas Keenan

Thomas Keenan has held various roles in the business and legal sectors for the past twenty years. In 2021, they are the Chief Operations Officer and General Counsel for BetaSmartz, a B2B wealth & asset management FinTech business. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Regional Counsel for Capco, a financial services consulting company. Thomas was also the Non Executive Chairman of the Muckava Group of Companies in 2017. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Muckava Group of Companies, where they managed the start-up of an independent company specializing in the development, marketing and manufacture of high-end ergonomic mobile device mounting solutions. From 2012 to 2013, they were the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Head of Sales for Mima International Limited. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Foreign-Registered Lawyer for Mayer Brown JSM. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Lawyer for Minter Ellison Lawyers in Hong Kong and Melbourne, Australia. In 2006, they were a Captain and Special Services Officer for the Australian Army. From 2003 to 2006, they were the Director of Purchasing Europe for Newell Rubbermaid. From 2001 to 2003, they were the Director of Purchasing for Newell Rubbermaid Global Sourcing Asia.

Thomas Keenan completed their high school education at Portsmouth Abbey School in 1989, earning a High School Diploma. Thomas then attended the University of Chicago, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy, Economics and Chinese in 1993. Keenan went on to pursue a Doctor Juris from the University of Melbourne, which they completed in 2008. Afterward, they attended The Australian National University for a GDLP in Law, which they completed in 2008. Keenan is currently pursuing a Master of Laws - LLM in International Arbitration from Queen Mary University of London, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
