The Role

RedBalloon first pioneered the experiences industry in Australia and has now grown to be famous for gifting. We truly believe that experiences are what life is made of – whether that’s a scenic helicopter flight, a luxe cabin getaway or learning new skills at a cheese making class.

We are looking for a passionate marketer on a 12-month parental leave contract to drive the next phase of growth for RedBalloon in Australia. You will be pivotal in our journey to revitalise the Redballoon brand and will be responsible for leading and delivering effective brand marketing projects including partnership activity, ambassadors and campaigns.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager (Brand), together you will define the RedBalloon brand and be the voice of the customer across the organisation. You’ll be a whizz at project management and execution of creative and messaging across all channels. You will input into brand strategy, make data-driven decisions, and align internal stakeholders.

You’ll get to make significant brand impact and work on a variety of projects – from customer research to social-led brand campaigns to organising content shoots - no two days will be the same!

You’ll demonstrate expertise in creative execution fit for channel, social production and budgeting. This role will see you working closely with our agency partners and freelancers, and internal Consumer Team stakeholders.

Core Activities

  • Brand strategy & planning: Support the SMM by assisting on customer research projects and social listening to define the RedBalloon customer, input into brand strategy and embed this throughout the organisation. Support on annual brand planning for RedBalloon.
  • Creative development & production: Strategy, briefing and production of assets for multiple channels via agencies and freelancers, to create impactful brand activity.
  • Ambassadors & Influencers: Identify & create long-term ambassador plans to represent RedBalloon, to drive long-term recognition and relevant spokespeople. Execute this activity and work closely with the social media manager.
  • Partnerships & Collaborations: Develop partnership approach, pitches, and execution for key brand-building partnerships, working closely with the campaigns team to deliver on campaigns through major partners.

Experience Required

  • 5-8 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Strong track record delivering brand marketing activity to create impact
  • Proven experience in delivering partnership/ambassador projects
  • Ability to prioritise in a rapidly changing and competitive landscape
  • Strong understanding of brand media channels and measurement
  • Ability to think strategically & execute enthusiastically
  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude and ability to multi-task
  • Nice to have: Experience in Production, Content, Social, E-commerce
