LeAnn Whitney

LeAnn Whitney is currently a research scientist at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences. LeAnn has previous experience working as a graduate research assistant at the University of Rhode Island from September 2006 to December 2012, and as a research technician at the University of Maine from August 2005 to June 2006.

Whitney's research focuses on understanding how environmental stressors affect marine organisms and their ecosystems. LeAnn is particularly interested in how climate change and other human activities are impacting the world's oceans.

LeAnn Whitney has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Rhode Island, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of Maine.

Their manager is Deborah Bronk, President & CEO. They are on a team with Jim McManus - Senior Research Scientist, Doug Rasher - Senior Research Scientist, Marine Community Ecologist, and Julia Brown - Research Scientist.
