Todd Bowser

Todd Bowser has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical research field. Todd is currently working as a Program Management Leader at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Portfolio and Program Leadership at Mersana Therapeutics from September 2021 to June 2022.

From 2019 to 2021, Todd was a Program Lead at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute. Before that, they worked at Cyteir Therapeutics as a Senior Director of R&D Project Leadership from 2018 to 2019.

Todd also had a significant tenure at H3 Biomedicine, where they held various roles including Executive Director of Program Management (2017-2018), Director of Program Management (2015-2017), and Associate Director of Program Management (2014-2015).

In their early career, Todd worked at Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as an Associate Director of Project and Business Alliance Management from 2010 to 2014. Todd also served as the Group Leader for Neurodegenerative and Anti-Inflammatory Drug Discovery and Senior Scientist and Project Coordinator for Anti-infective Drug Discovery, contributing to the development of novel tetracycline derivatives for various therapeutic areas.

Todd's educational background includes a NIH Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at Brown University, where they studied the biosynthesis of sesquiterpene natural products under the guidance of Prof. David E. Cane.

Todd Bowser obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Franklin & Marshall College, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Todd then pursued further education and earned a Ph.D. in Mechanistic Enzymology from Baylor University, attending from 1992 to 1997.
