Vessela Alexieva

Vessela Alexieva has a diverse work experience in the field of research engineering. Vessela started their career in 1997 as a Laboratory Engineer at BioInvent International AB. Vessela later transitioned to the role of Research Engineer and then Senior Research Engineer, where they currently work. Additionally, Vessela served as an Employee representative at the Board of Directors since August 2013. Prior to joining BioInvent International AB, they worked as an Assistant in Microbiology at Vårdhögskolan Lund-Helsingborg in 1997.

Vessela Alexieva has a diverse education background. Vessela pursued a PhD at Lund University from 1995 to 1997 but did not complete the program. Prior to that, they completed an Examensarbete i mikrobiologi (20p) in Microbiology and Bacteriology at Lund University in 1994-1995. Vessela holds a Master of Science degree in Molecular and Functional Biology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, which they obtained between 1979 and 1984.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Vessela Alexieva has also participated in various non-degree educational programs. Vessela completed Försvarshögskolans ledarskapskurs UGL, which focused on the development of group dynamics and leadership skills. Moreover, they underwent the education program for the board of directors, senior management, and auditors at NASDAQ OMX Stockholm. Vessela also completed a diploma course for board members at PTK.
