Jared Yarnall-Schane

Jared Yarnall-Schane has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jared is currently the Director of Innovation at the Biomimicry Institute, where they have been working since October 2021. Prior to this position, they served as the Entrepreneurship Director at the same organization from April 2019 to October 2021.

In 2022, Jared became the Co-Owner of Singing Onstage. Jared joined the company in August 2022 and continues to hold this role.

Before their current positions, Jared founded Startup Guts / Jarnall Consulting in August 2018. As the Founder & Consultant, they created a deck of 50 question cards that serve as a query-based tool to help entrepreneurs and startup coaches with lean startup and business model canvas methodologies. Jared worked on this project until April 2019.

Jared also worked at Thought For Food as the Program Director from August 2015 to August 2018. In this role, they led programs such as the TFF Challenge, TFF Bootcamp, and TFF Ambassador programs. Jared grew the TFF Challenge to reach 600 startup teams from 140 countries during the 2018 program cycle.

In addition, Jared has experience as a Co-Founder at GreenTowers, where they worked from October 2012 to July 2015. At GreenTowers, they led various aspects of the business, including operations, sales, marketing, and business development. The company focused on reconnecting people to their food through the creation of maintenance-free products and services such as aquaponic greenhouses, indoor beehives, vertical growing systems, and mail order gardens.

Jared Yarnall-Schane holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from Penn State University from 2010 to 2014. Jared later pursued an Executive Certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. In addition to their formal education, Jared also obtained a certification in Venture Deals from Kauffman Fellows & TechStars in April 2021.
