Silvia Peri

Research Scientist at Biosyntia

Silvia Peri has a diverse work experience in the field of molecular biology and genetic engineering. In 2019, they served as a Student Intern at the Università degli Studi di Padova, where they conducted experimental work for their Bachelor Thesis on the physiological and molecular characterization of different rice varieties in response to salt stress. Silvia'sskills in this role included the growth of rice in hydroponic systems, plant stress measurement, RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and real-time PCR.

In 2020, Silvia worked as a Student Internship at Chr. Hansen, where they carried out the experimental work for their master thesis titled "Investigation of the mechanism of bacterial and fungal inhibition in Bacillus species." Silvia'sresponsibilities in this role involved the construction of deletion plasmids and mutants, transformation of bacteria, genetic engineering of Bacillus species, and molecular cloning. Silvia also conducted biological plant and animal health inhibition assays.

Currently, Silvia is employed as a Research Assistant at Biosyntia, starting in 2021. Further details about their roles and responsibilities in this position are not provided.

Silvia Peri completed their education in a chronological manner. Silvia first attended the Università degli Studi di Padova from 2016 to 2019, where they obtained a Laurea triennale in Biotechnology. Following that, Silvia pursued their Master's degree in Sustainable Biotechnology at Aalborg University from 2019 to 2021.
