Lorinda Turner has a strong background in immunophenotyping and immunological research. Lorinda started their career at the University of Cambridge in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they led the immunological laboratory work, data analysis, and project management for studies related to the immune system and mental health. Lorinda also served as the immunophenotyping lead and biomarkers lab coordinator for a multi-site phase 2 clinical trial. Lorinda designed, optimized, and validated multiple flow cytometry panels and applied them to a large-scale COVID-19 immunophenotyping study. In 2021, they joined bit.bio as a Senior Scientist and Team Lead.
Lorinda Turner obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Monash University, where they studied from 2004 to 2014. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Preventing Discrimination & Harassment from Traliant in March 2023. Lorinda has also received an edX Honor Code Certificate for Statistics and R for the Life Sciences from edX, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
