Dr. Tommye Austin

Dr. Tommye Austin has a range of experience in the healthcare field, with a focus on nursing leadership. Dr. Tommye currently holds the position of Senior Vice President Chief Patient Care Systems and Chief Nurse Executive at BJC HealthCare, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, Dr. Austin worked as the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive at University Health System from May 2017 to August 2022. Before their time at University Health System, they served as the Chief Nursing Executive at Baptist Health System from October 2009 to May 2017.

Dr. Tommye Austin obtained their PhD, MSN, and BSN degrees in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) between 1987 and 2011.
