Nick Hyatt

Nick Hyatt has extensive experience in the cybersecurity field. Nick is currently the Director of Threat Intelligence at Blackpoint Cyber, where they lead and develops the threat intelligence team. Prior to this role, they worked at Optiv as the Practice Manager for the Global Threat Intelligence Center, where they enabled their team to deliver intelligence services and provided threat briefings to clients. Before Optiv, Nick worked at Consumers Energy as a Senior IR Analyst, responsible for incident response and implementing a cyber threat intelligence program. Nick also has experience at Optiv as a Managing Consultant, where they led engagements and spoke at industry conferences, and as a Senior Consultant focused on digital forensics, incident response, and threat hunting. Nick'scareer in cybersecurity began at Accuvant as a Forensics Specialist, conducting forensic investigations and malware analysis.

Nick Hyatt attended Appalachian State University from 2000 to 2001, focusing on English and History studies. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the EnCase Certified Examiner from Guidance Software in November 2013, the GIAC Strategic Policy, Planning, and Leadership (GSTRT) certification from GIAC Certifications in February 2018, the GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA) certification from GIAC Certifications in October 2019, and most recently, the GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) certification from GIAC Certifications in May 2021.
