Layne Droppers

Layne Droppers is a seasoned aerospace professional currently serving as a Senior Flight Dynamics Software Systems Architect at Blue Origin since July 2024. Prior experience includes roles at OneWeb from January 2019 to June 2024, where responsibilities spanned from Manager of Flight Dynamics Software Engineering to Flight Dynamics Software Engineer, Orbit Engineer, and Assistant Orbit Analyst. Layne commenced a career in aerospace with internships at NASA Langley Research Center, Orbital ATK, and various engineering roles, focusing on flight dynamics and design engineering. Educationally, Layne holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University, with earlier studies at Mount Marty University and Yankton High School, demonstrating a strong foundational commitment to the field of aerospace.
