Claire Loe

Claire Loe is an Interconnection & Engineer at BlueWave Solar. Claire previously worked as a Research Engineer at Saint-Gobain from August 2017 to December 2019, where they were responsible for module development and production process improvements and optimization for the SOFC stack and balance of plant components. During their time at Saint-Gobain, they successfully decreased the SOFC stack production lead time by 25% and the machining costs by 18%, created the SolidWorks CAD assembly for their system scale-up, and implemented a quality check that made determining the viability of cells faster by 75%.

Before working at Saint-Gobain, Claire held various positions at Samtec Inc, including Operations Co-op, Customer Quality Engineer Co-op, and Non-Release/Transition Group Co-op. Claire also completed a Science in Society Writing Fellowship at Northwestern Undergraduate Research Assistant Program in January 2015 to June 2015.

Claire Loe has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Environmental Policy & Planning from Tufts University.
