Karen Wohlers

Karen Wohlers has a diverse work experience in the field of science and research. Karen is currently working as a Scientist Process Development at Bluu Seafood since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a PhD student in Microbiology Biotechnology at Forschungszentrum Jülich from January 2018 to September 2021. Karen also gained international experience as an ERASMUS+ student at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from March 2016 to June 2016. Additionally, Karen worked at Evonik, where they served as a Bachelor-Student from March 2015 to August 2015 and as an Apprenticeship Chemical laboratory assistant from September 2011 to February 2015.

Karen Wohlers obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology from Hochschule Niederrhein in 2015. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology at the University of Münster from 2015 to 2017. After completing their master's, they enrolled at the University of Düsseldorf in 2018 to pursue a Doctorate in Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) with a focus on Biology.
