Philipp A. Jaeger has extensive work experience in the scientific and research field. Philipp A. is currently the Scientific Director - High-Throughput Biology at Boehringer Ingelheim. Prior to this role, they worked as the Principal Scientist - Laboratory Head - Cellular Assays Lab also at Boehringer Ingelheim. Before joining Boehringer Ingelheim, they served as a Senior Scientist and then Scientist II in Assay Development at Encodia, Inc. Philipp A. also worked as a Scientist and Founder in Phenotype Screening and Drug Discovery at BiocipherX, Inc. Earlier in their career, they were a Postdoctoral Scholar in Systems Biology at the University of California San Diego and a PhD student at Stanford University, focusing on Autophagy and Protein Signaling in Alzheimer's. Philipp A. also holds a Dipl.-Biochem. degree from Freie Universität Berlin, earned between 2001 and 2004. Earlier in their academic journey, Philipp pursued Vordiplom in Biochemistry at the University of Hamburg from 1998 to 2000.

In terms of professional development, Philipp participated in the EXPOSURE Global Leadership Development Program at IESE Business School in 2022, focusing on Business Administration and Management. Philipp A. has also obtained several certifications, including Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Black Belt from Six Sigma Online and Aveta Business Institute in 2019 and 2023, respectively. Philipp has completed various Coursera Course Certificates on Drug Development and Drug Discovery in 2019. Additionally, they received training in VENUS Robotics Software from Hamilton Company in 2019 and participated in the Assay Guidance Workshop for High-Throughput Screening and Lead Discovery by SLAS (Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening) in 2018.

Furthermore, outside of academia and professional certifications, Philipp has obtained a Notary Public certification for The State of California in October 2017. Philipp A. also holds certifications in America's Boating Course from United States Power Squadrons in 2008, California Hunter Education Program from California Department of Fish and Wildlife in 2008, the Hazardous Substance Training Program from UNSW in 2005, Rescue Diver certification from PADI in 2000, and Sportbootführerschein See from Bundesrepublik Deutschland in 1998.
