Robert Luzzi

Bob has over 25 years in the medical device industry, most recently serving as VP of R&D for Woven Orthopedic Technologies, an early stage orthopedic/spine biotextile implant company. Bob is an expert in leading technically-diverse product development programs as well as designing and implementing regulatory, quality systems, and clinical research programs for emerging technology companies. Bob has led product development initiatives for both multi-national and start-up medical device companies and has helped shepherd 38 product lines and over 110 products from concept to commercialization. Bob is also an inventor on 45 pending patents and is a Certified Patent Agent. Previously Bob held senior management positions at Sky Medical Development, DFine Inc., Johnson & Johnson, and Medtronic. He holds a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, a MS in Bioengineering and BS in Bioengineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
