Matt Craddock

Matt Craddock has a diverse work experience in the field of football coaching. Matt is currently working as the B Team Head Coach at Bolton Wanderers Football Club since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Coaching at Bolton Wanderers from September 2021 to June 2022.

Before joining Bolton Wanderers, Matt worked as the Head of Coaching at Preston North End FC from July 2016 to September 2021. Matt also had a significant tenure at The Football Association, where they held multiple roles including County Coach Developer, FA Coach Educator, and FA Regional Youth Officer (12-16). Their responsibilities at the Football Association included creating strategic youth development programs, designing coaching curricula, and mentoring licensed coaches.

Additionally, Matt has previous experience as a Youth Development Coach at Preston North End FC and Blackpool FC, where they worked with various age groups and organized tours. Matt also worked as a Senior Sports Coach and School Sports Coach at Blackpool Council, focusing on improving the standard of physical education and facilitating participation in local clubs for young people.

Matt Craddock holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Elite Coach Development from the University of Portsmouth, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Sports Science and Physiology from the University of Leeds, where they studied from 2002 to 2005.

In addition to their degrees, Craddock has also obtained certifications in the field of coaching. In July 2018, they completed the FA Advanced Youth Award: 17-23 PDP Phase from The Football Association. Furthermore, they obtained a UEFA A Licence from The Football Association in May 2017.
