Dr Eddy Elton has a diverse work experience in user experience (UX) research and education. Dr Eddy is currently working as a Principal UX Researcher at Boomi since 2022. Prior to that, they served as an External Examiner for the Experience Design (MA) program at Loughborough University from 2017 to 2023. From 2013 to 2022, they were a Senior Lecturer in UX and later became the Course Leader for a portfolio of Product Design courses at the University of Brighton. Additionally, they were a member of the Events Committee at the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors from 2016 to 2021. Before their roles in academia, they worked as a UX Researcher & Designer at Loughborough University from 2002 to 2013, conducting user-centered design research and teaching product design.
Dr. Eddy Elton completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Product Design, Innovation, and Marketing at the University of Derby from 1999 to 2002. Dr Eddy then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human-Centred Design at Loughborough University from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, they obtained a Chartered Human Factors Specialist designation from the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors. Recently, in 2019-2020, Dr. Elton completed a Fellowship in Teaching Practice in Higher Education at Advance HE.
