Jean-Philippe Carralot

Director of Biology at Bright Peak Therapeutics

Jean-Philippe Carralot has over 20 years of work experience. In 1996, they completed an internship at Robert Gordon University. In 1997, they completed an internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in A. Demain's lab. In 1999, they completed an internship at Sanofi in the molecular biology laboratory, and also worked as a project manager at IRD. In 2001, they worked as a Scientist/Ph.D. Student at CureVac GmbH. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Post-Doc at Institut Pasteur Korea, studying host immune system and pathogens interactions, developing assays for HTS format, conducting genome-wide siRNA screens on HIV and M. tuberculosis, and conducting small molecule screening and profiling. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as Director of Biology at Ridgeline Therapeutics, and currently works as Director of Biology at Bright Peak Therapeutics.

Jean-Philippe Carralot began their educational journey in 1994, when they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Food Engineering from the Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC). Jean-Philippe then went on to earn their Master's degree in Biotechnology. Creation and Innovation on Bioproducts from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) between 1996 and 1999. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from the University of Tübingen in 2005.
