Zak Showell

Zak Showell is an experienced conservation and wildlife management professional currently serving as a Trustee for both The Civet Project Foundation and the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Since June 2018, Zak has held the position of CEO at Shaldon Wildlife Trust Limited, where oversight includes direction of a small BIAZA and EAZA collection with a commitment to breeding less prominent species and supporting global conservation projects. Previous roles include Centre Manager at Lakeland Wildlife Oasis Limited and various positions at Twycross Zoo, including Research & Conservation Registrar and Deputy Registrar, as well as an internship at Chester Zoo. Zak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Conservation Biology from the University of St Andrews.
